Ambition Snowskates

I was contacted by "Ambition" in the summer of 09, I was asked to work with two of their top pro-skaters, Phil Smage & Alan Gerlach who were fresh off their domination of the "X-Games", taking both Gold & Silver.

This piece was extreamly personal to Phil, serving not only as a board design but an epitaph of sorts for his mascott & pet goat Wilbur. We worked closely together while I rendered a concept as true to Phil's vision as possible, maintaining a very specific balance of wholesome fun in a graphicly cutting style. Carefull not to sacrific the emotional impact Phil desired from the design. On the left is the final vector rendering with the printed board displayed to the right.
